Gianluca was a miracle from the word go........
 Gianluca was a very muched planned baby.....it was such a joy to find out on the 4th July 2002 that i was pregnant... everything seemed ok until 6 weeks when i had bad pains i was rushed into hospital to be told that i had got a suspected eptopic pregnancy and that was the end.. i was not convinced.. i had an emergency laporoscopy and they discovered something in my tubes but not a baby so they told me that i was not in fact pregnant i was having a " blight pregnancy" i refused to have a d&c to the doctors horror as she told me i would suffer with infection and all the rest.. i just wasn't convinced.. i lay in bed for 2 weeks waiting for something horrible to happen?? Nothing...
2 weeks had passed and i went for a scan and low and behold there was my precious angel baby moving all around!!!!! A MIRACLE .......................
Gianluca was born March 14th at 9.34am by planned c-section, he was born on Daddys birthday and mine was the day after so very special time for us all, Olivia his big sister was so excited...
When he popped out we were so shocked how tiny he was the doctors kept taking him away to be weighed and asking me if had got my dates right?? bit nervous but didnt think anything of it...
Gianluca was a very sick baby and suffered so bad with reflux it was so distressing to watch also he wasn't a big eater apart from his favourite cheesey puffs and pink wafers he loved them and never refused them!
he didnt really gain much weight and at 8 months when he went for his check up the doctor picked up what he thought to be a heart murmur.. i was told not to worry so many people have them and need nothing done, but to be on the safe side i got Gianluca referred to Dr Giovanni a child heart specialist.....
Our world came crashing down November 2003 Gianluca's heart condition was very bad he had got Sub-Aortic and Pulmonary stenosis and would require 2 open heart surgery's in the near future... We were devestated..
Dr Giovanni told us children with such a heart condition may suffer from rare genetic conditions so we booked Gianluca in for some genetic testing on his chromosones it was only one simple blood test and that would be able to tell us if he had a syndrome...
January 2004 Gianluca diagnosed with " WILLIAMS - SYNDROME" we were told he would never be dependent never have children, never get married or have relationships wouldnt get on with children his own age and would not be able to be left alone as he wouldn't recognise a stranger as being dangerous...........
God that was it i researched everything and decided that this was just not going to happen to Gianluca so booked Gianluca into a private nursery 2 afternoons a week, his best friend Oliver went there and it was a lovely place, he did amazing and interacted with all the children his own age!...so no problem with him not getting on with other kids he had a ball...
Life was great, Gianluca was enjoying all aspects of life and he had no problems, he did get colds quite a bit and a few other common complaints which were made worse because he couldn't have any medicine because of his heart, which was a shame, but he was always smiley and NEVER cried... i always encouraged him to do everything and gave him the best of everything to help him...
January 2005... Gianluca had a heart attack just out the blue, Daddy kept him alive by giving him CPR till the paramedics got there....... he recovered amazingly quick and baffled the doctors they said this was a one off and never happen again...
April 2005...Gianluca had another one and once again Daddy gave him CPR and kept him alive.... this time he stuggled to come back to us but he did, they kept him in for nearly 2 weeks, no one knew why?
May 22nd 2005...Gianluca had been home from hospital for 2 weeks when he had another attack he was with his daddy who did CPR on him for the 3rd time.... Gianluca was not good.... we got to the hospital and they were fighting to keep him alive we just couldnt understand what was happening his whole body was closing down and they couldnt get a needle into him to give him antibiotics as they discovered his body was being attacked by some form of virus that was poisioning his blood...
He came back round and said mumma i looked at him and gave him a big hug and kiss then he looked at his dad and said Dadda and we thought thank god.......
....... 2 seconds later he'd gone.........
They tried so hard but he had been taken by the angels......
He came into this world as a beautiful miracle and left this world a beautifull angel....
He has changed our lives and everyone who ever came in contact with him forever........
LOVED ALWAYS AND FOR AN ETERNITY.......................
